Phoenix-Womanhood In Bloom, Inc (PWIB) began in 1993 as an after-school program assisting with homework and studying. It has since flourished into a non-profit organization that encourages young ladies to achieve academically, especially in the fields of Science and Mathematics, develop an appreciation for the Arts and Humanities and explore their creative sides through arts and crafts.
PWIB provides mentoring and support for college freshmen so that they may traverse the obstacles that many times present themselves as one transitions into college life. Overall, PWIB strives towards the betterment of young women in urban communities through positive re-enforcement.
